A two tower development comprising one residential and one 5* serviced apartment buildings. AK Design was appointed for the architectural work after winning a design competition held by the client. The basic footprint of the towers was pre-determined due to the significant amount of piling already completed in 2008.

However, this has been overcome by stepping the towers to enhance the views across Business Bay and to the other side of the Zabeel Stables. Every apartment enjoys balconies and these step up the face of the facade creating a dynamic and exciting environment around the building and into the landscaped podium area. The podium itself ramps from grade level to full podium height and allows not only resident access to it’s gardens but general pedestrian access as well. This facilitates additional commercial frontage to the podium edge generally.

Considering the prime location of the plot at one end of the main boulevard, this development should become a major landmark in Business Bay, especially as future infrastructure makes this area much more accessible.
