MMG specialize in industrial contracting within the oil, gas and petrochemical industry and have a distinguished fifty year history in the Middle East. We were tasked with reinvigorating MMG’s 1970’s Headquarters building, giving it a new modern direction that also reflects MMG’s corporate identity and heritage.
The fully glazed façade was enhanced to create a shop front experience with a direct, open connection to the street. The newly exposed interiors are intended to signify the openness and transparency of the company and also acknowledge MMG’s core business in steel fabrication and industrial construction. Inside, the main lobby was remodeled by cutting back the mezzanine floor to create a prominent double height reception area from which a series of seamlessly connected generous reception areas and gallery space run along the façade.
The pallet of materials and colours are modest and natural. White walls, travertine stone flooring, rusted steel and oak timber are sympathetic to the existing building and suggest a grounding and earthiness while remaining stylish and contemporary.
